Learn about Burgos Behavior's Parent-Led ABA approach, empowering parents with tools and guidance from certified professionals to support their child's development within daily routines.
We are located in Manteca, CA. We offer services in-person at our office in Manteca, and telehealth services.
Our services focus on supporting families with mild to moderate behavior challenges during specific parts of the day, such as mornings, transitions, and bedtime routines. We prioritize family-centered, neurodivergent-affirming care, which means we empower caregivers to make small, lasting changes in their routines. Our support is best suited for families of children with:
Autism (Level 1 or 2), ADHD, and other similar developmental needs
Challenging behaviors like meltdowns, tantrums, and mild aggression related to difficulties with communication, transitions, or daily routines
What We Do:
Support specific parts of the day (like mornings, mealtimes, and bedtime)
Address mild to moderate behavior challenges (e.g., tantrums, meltdowns, and mild aggression)
Teach parents and caregivers how to use proactive strategies and environmental changes
Use a family-driven model where caregivers are partners in the process
Embrace a neurodivergent-affirming approach, meaning we focus on helping children develop skills, not on compliance or control
What We Do Not Do:
Severe behavior intervention (e.g., frequent or severe aggression, self-injury, or elopement)
1:1 direct child support (like an RBT model where a provider works with the child independently)
School-based intervention (our focus is on family routines, not school-based support)
Crisis intervention services (we provide proactive, preventative support)
Full-day behavior support (we focus on key moments of the day, not the entire day)
Parent-Led ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) is a method focused on intensive parent involvement, guided by skilled ABA practitioners. Supervised by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs®) and supported by Clinical Assistants/BCaBAs® or Master’s-level practitioners, this approach emphasizes parental engagement in teaching essential ABA skills. The goal is to equip parents with tools to support their child's development, enhancing flexibility in daily routines. Whether during soccer practice, waiting rooms, or dinner, Parent-Led ABA integrates seamlessly into everyday life, empowering parents to nurture their child's progress. At Burgos Behavior, we recognize parents as experts in their child's life, collaborating with ABA expertise to maximize support and growth.
